Mary writes: What does the constant compare and contrast between the two in all 7 books actually convey? Does it convey anything, after all? I had thought it was a subtle type of character development, and that it also pointed to the need for healing between the two, because they are 'soul mates'. Severus, more than anyone else, is Harry's spiritual father, IMO. At least, that's what I thought before DH. Now I don't know what to think - and yet the comparisons are there, in the text. Why?

I've noticed that I haven't been posting as much as I would like, which needs to be changed.  So as a personal goal as I follow the wonderful Snupin fic this month - I want to, at the very most, try to post more than once a week.  Whether it be posting drabbles at saiyuki_100, commenting, or getting my butt in gear and post some of my fics at works here...I need to do something.

On that note, here are some of my random thoughts as I'm typing away.  I'm following 2 TV series.  House MD and Heroes.  I haven't missed a show yet this season.  But as I sit here watching Heroes and growling at the TV screen on how twisted the show is turning into, I've come to realize that I look forward to watching House more than Heroes.  Meaning if I were to miss a show, I would be more upset if I missed House.

Interesting!  It's probably my medical background that has me hooked on House...or the fact that House and Wilson should be cannon and I keep watching for any slight signs of that possibility. ^ _ ^  But on the other side of the coin, my geeky side, draws me to Heroes and keeps me curious to see how the story line plays out.  Gawd, I think I'm hopeless.

Which is probably too big a topic to leave for the last day, but let's see what I can do...

Films: Rock and Rule, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Anastasia, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, The Iron Giant, Wallace and Gromit: Attack of the Were-Rabbit, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and lately, Superman: Doomsday.

Shorts: Classic Bugs Bunny ranks at the top of the list. After that, there's Felix the Cat, Wallace and Gromit, and a host of others.

Series: DARIA, Jem, BTAS, The Tick, Kimagure Orange Road, Gravitation, the D&D series, Danger Mouse, Powerpuff Girls, etc.

Styles: I like clean lines and smooth movement, which is why you won't find much in the way of Hannah-Barbara here. I prefer humans over animals, but obviously, there are some exceptions.

As for why Animation appeals...Doesn't it speak to the child in all of us? No matter how adult the story may be, animation draws us in and puts us in a younger frame of mind. Also, animation can be beautiful in a way Real Life can never be. Animation means all things are still possible within the story.
